NADRA cracks a good one on ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan shared the responsibility of preparing the new voter's list with NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority).Hoping the job will be easier and complete in less time .As time is what ECP does not have at the moment because the next general elections are to be announced anytime soon.

In the final electoral roll (FER 2012) which in the words of Chairman NADRA Mr Tariq Malik  “We have helped ECP to develop an electoral rolls database instead of just voter’s lists which means we have empowered ECP with an extensive audit trail system resulting in transparency and accountability,” 

Massive irregularities have been reported and personally observed in the voter's list which were unthinkable due to NADRA's assistance.But the one which takes the cake has also come to the notice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. A house in Karachi has 638 registered voters of which 333 are men and rest are women Hail to women empowerment !!

E-43 block 2 of PECHS karachi a 200 sq yrd small house is located in a constituency won in previous elections by MQM.  Many Voters of the same locality were surprised to find that their names were even in the same town i.e Jamshedtown instead it has been included with an uncomplete address in the gulistan-e-johar of Gulshan town.
