Why like poles do not attract each other?

Few years back Flickr.com used to be my favorite photo sharing and storing site but gradually i learned that it is not what i needed so i stopped using it and believe me i was so right because as one American friend put it we in Pakistan live in the seventh century.The browser i am using is so out dated that even flickr.com recognized it and told me to upgrade now the reason why i choose to deliberately avoide upgrading my browser is the non availability of the add-ons that i prefer on the newer latest versions of the suggested browsers.Can you believe that the most popular browser these days the Google chrome does not yet have a Google search toolbar for its browser that is so disgusting.
