India defeated Canada 59-25 in the World Kabaddi Cup 2011 finals
Exclusive, News, Sports
In Women’s finals, India beat UK with the difference of 44-17. Pakistan bagged the 3rd place. It beat Italy with the difference of 60-22. The visitors failed to tackle the dominant attacks of the Indian women.
In the men’s final, at the half time, India was leading by 28-13. Canadians had lost a few players earlier to doping. Canadians, who had defeated Pakistan in the semi-finals in the tournament earlier, struggled to maintain momentum in the second half as Indian raiders took points at will.
Despite the match played under flood lights and continuing close to midnight, the stadium remained packed with people who had come to watch the contest. The tournament had been marred by doping controversy which had continued unabated in the Punjab Government-organised cup, with players from United States, Canada, India and other nations falling in the dope trap.

The real issue.....where should i have been standing today ?
The Election season is approaching very fast in Pakistan.unfortunately there hasn't been a major political change in the thought process of the nation and the voters. The common Pakistani voter still supports the same people or the parties they supported in the previous elections.
The Pakistan peoples party won the 2008 general election after the tragic death of its leader Mohterema Benazir bhutto on a sympathy vote as well as a rejection of Army's Musharraf rule. After the elections Mr Asif Ali Zardari gradually assumed the power and the confidence of Pakistan Peoples Party and the coalition partners.but his steady reconciliation policy has surprised everyone.Believe it or not Mr Asif Ali Zardari does not need the bhutto legacy anymore and this is quite disturbing for many both within and outside the party. Some of the very close to Benazir and Bhutto and considered themselves as indispensable had to quit the government and the party or keep a very low profile in Pakistani politics.None of them had been able to shake the Government or the power of mr zardari and the most amazing thing is that Mr Asif Ali Zardari has survived so many challenges that could have brought down his government and himself very easily being not liked by a very large cross-section of majority in Pakistan.
Being the husband of the prime minister ,Mr Asif Ali Zardari was accused of unprecedented corruption and was jailed for many years. He is accused of unprecedented corruption as the President of Pakistan by a very frustrated opposition. His coalition Partners left him one by one and some again and again. But that seems to have made no real significant change or dent in his claim to power.
At times the president Zardari tried to hand over the party politics to his son and co-chair of the party but something or the other prevented that.so now he seems to be stuck in the helms of affairs of the Government and Parliament as well as the Pakistan Peoples Party.
As I see it and if nothing surprising happened in the coming months Mr Zardari's Pakistan Peoples Party will go into elections as the most powerful political force.challenged by mr nawaz sharif's Pakistan muslim league (N) or some grand alliance including PML(N) .Now very honestly i cannot predict the third force at the moment.which is the real issue because imran khan's Pakistan tehrik-e-insaf (Pti) or the justice movement is getting support of a number of political forces and youth in pakistan . whereas the rebel crusader and former home minister of the Sindh and a former senior member of Pakistan peoples party (bhutto, benazir and zardari ) Mr Zulfiqar Mirza has taken up the unbelievable task of bringing the leader of MQM (third largest party in parliament ) Mr Altaf hussain to justice. Mr Mirza is currently visiting london where the MQM leader lives in self -exile to convince and seek help from the scotland yard and others...
Now the big question is "if Mr Zulfiqar Mirza wins this crusade against the MQM and its chief ,where should i have been standing today....???
