Isl Police chief seeks MNA’s arrest for assaulting a lady constable

 
Islamabad Police have requested the National Assembly (NA) Speaker to grant permission for the arrest of a lawmaker who allegedly assaulted a lady constable last week.
IGP Tahir Alam Khan has formally requested acting NA Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi to grant them permission to arrest MNA Shahjehan Mangrio.
Thrashing cop: Case lodged against MNA
“Parliamentarians cannot be arrested without prior permission from either the speaker NA or the Senate chairman; we have thus made the request,” Khan explained.
On October 21, the Women Police Station, Sector G-7 registered a case against the lawmaker from Sukkur, Sindh for assaulting lady constable Afshan Naz at Parliament Lodges.

Pakistan Army wins gold in Exercise Cambrian Patrol in UK

Pakistan Army won the gold medal at an annual international military patrolling exercise, Exercise Cambrian Patrol’ held in the UK.
The Pakistan Army team shared the first place award with the Royal New Zealand Army, beating 140 teams from armies across the globe. The Indian army secured second place winning a silver medal.

 The international military patrolling exercise marks an important event in the British Army’s training calendar. Run by the 160th Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Wales, over a 140 countries compete in the exercise which puts the soldiers’ military strength to the test.
